Royal Arch Grand Rank Appointments

Early March is the time that appointments to Grand Rank are announced and last weekend as post boxes rattled, a London postmark was espied, an envelope opened and a letter extracted with the red letter head of the Supreme Grand Chapter of England great pleasure was had by four outstanding Warwickshire Companions.

E Comp Philip Gough was appointed as the Deputy Grand Superintendent at the Investiture of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E Comp Philip Hall, last November. This has now been followed by a promotion to Past Grand Sword Bearer.

A first appointment has also been made to E Comp Ivan Norris who has been appointed as a Past Grand Standard Bearer. E Comp Ivan has given outstanding service to Warwickshire Freemasonry, amongst other roles he was the secretary of the Warwickshire Installed Masters Lodge for many years. Similarly he has given great service and support to the Royal Arch in Warwickshire and led the team of volunteers who helped create such a memorable Investiture. E Comp Philip Hall's description of E Comp Ivan on that day was 'indomitable'; most apt.

Further E Comp John Phenix, the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal for Worcestershire has been promoted to Past Assistant Grand Sojourner and E Comp Mark Constant, the 3rd Provincial Grand Principal for Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire has received a first appointment as a Past Grand Standard Bearer. Both are keen and supportive members of Warwickshire Chapters.

Well done and many congratulations to all; we wish them a happy day at Grand Chapter.

The Annual Investitures will be held at Freemasons’ Hall on 27th April 2017 at 11:15am. It would be great to see many Warwickshire Companions there to support.
