General Chapter of Instruction Festival Wednesday 19 April
posted on 06 March 2017
Atherstone may be most famous for its Shrove Tuesday Ball Game and a proud history for making fine hats but it is also becoming known amongst Royal Arch Masons as the established home for the annual General Chapter of Instruction and with it excellent ritual. This year's meeting will take place at the Athersone Masonic Hall on Wednesday 19 April commencing at 5.30pm.
We are delighted that this year's President will be the E Comp Alan J Vaughan, M.E. Grand Superintendent in and over Bristol and we look forward to welcoming him to our Province and to witness the Warwickshire working of the ceremony of Exaltation.
As the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E Comp Phil Hall has recognised 'the Royal Arch is complicated, it takes time to understand, but that from the dawning of understanding comes an inner awareness and knowledge of the self that we all deeply benefit from. If it takes years to reach that understanding then so be it'. The General Chapter of Instruction Festival provides all Companions, and most especially Chapter Principals and Exaltees with a great opportunity to continue their journey of understanding and the 'Setting the Scene' commentary will be used which will provide further insight.
This is one of the most popular events in the Provincial Calendar and we all look forward to seeing a full attendance in support of the Demonstration Team who have put in tremendous efforts to make this a memorable event. Places are limited so please do book early.
The cost of dinner is £25, inclusive of wine and applications should be made on the slip attached to the application form which can be downloaded HERE or can be made to the Scribe E, E.Comp Kelvin Johnson on email:
